I'm María , and Maritta comes from my name. I was born in Jerez, but Madrid has been my home for years. I'd love to start these lines by telling the story of a childhood surrounded by cheesecakes in a kitchen full of all kinds of baking utensils, but nothing could be further from the truth. My professional career has been dominated by promoting brands during my eight years working in Marketing. Two of my greatest hobbies are photography and cooking . If I know one thing about recipes, it's that by mixing ingredients you can create something enormous. If my ingredients are marketing , photography , and cooking , then you already have the reason why I'm here.

Maritta is simply a combination of having the cheesecake recipe that everyone who tries it asks about, and the opportunity to share it beyond my immediate circle. It strives for that artisanal touch, a cake that stands out from the crowd and tastes like home . I like to describe it simply as cheesecake, without any extra ingredients.

It's not meant to be "the best cheesecake in (add city of your choice)," but rather the cake you choose to share on special occasions or treat yourself. A handmade cake, for events and for home.
